Three months on with my LH Bi laterial Birmingham.Been progressing well, doing heaps of indoor cycling. Went out in the weekend and did 55km on a tough gravel ride and post the ride I feel like I’ve gone backwards with recovery and a bit sore.
Doctor said my hip was “grumpy” from the too much.

Completed the double BHR today on my right side.
Had the first one done in November 22 so feel like a huge weight lifted of my shoulders and I can get on with it.
Im up and about. I thought the first procedure was good but already I feel like I have heaps more movement from day 1 which is interesting considering actually had more Osteoarthritis in this one.
I also had Cam Impingement in both as
well so that could explain it.
The plan is stairs tomorrow and out on Wednesday.
Better get going as have a 3000km gravel ride to do! (Tour Aotearoa)

I’m 5 months in with my left and 2 months in with my right BHR. Recovering well and doing approx 60min on indoor cycle trainer or walking an hour plus with no problem.
Im keen to set a marathon as a target. I’m thinking mid next year.

7 months first one and then 4 months after the second BHR I’m back and pain free. Knocked off this 55km/900m elevation gravel ride (I’m on the right)with no bowed legs like I used to have.
