I am 2 years down the road I have just run a 5k in 20.47 minutes at my local gym with no pain or discomfort!
I run an under 10 football team which I love and enjoy and my new hip resurface has let me do this without reservation!
I play squash again and won my first game back after 2 and a half years 3-2 ha-ha

5 Year Update
Fifth year still had some nice improvement (believe it or not).
This also marks my fifth season back playing soccer. Every season I’ve had little nags here and there (Achilles, hamstrings, calfs, etc) but the hip has been injury free. When my conditioning wanes a bit in off season I can get that “achy” feeling after an hour or so playing. But if I use the foam roller a couple of times … Read the rest

I am the ex jockey and cutter/reined cowhorse rider that has a right hip resurfaced with Dr Sparling in Vancouver, WA (Wright C+) 7 years ago at age 45 (petite female).
