On the 7th July, 2017 , I celebrated my 3rd Anniversary of BHR Left side. Wow, how the time has disappeared and how I am able to compete “pretty well” in Triathlon, all be it , at Sprint and Standard Distance.

I had one of the replacements that got recalled, and I’m glad to be able to say that I’ve had no problems with it, thank goodness, a lot has happened to me in the last 4 years, and having a goo hip, helps, I’m now married, with 4 step kids and 4 step grand kids, with a 5th on the … Read the rest

April 29, 2017 – This thread is to update my progress after five years on my second hip. I am now going on 71 years and will be taking the National Ski Patrol classes this summer and plan to be an active Patroller this winter at the ski areas in the Midwest that are near me. I had both hip’s go bad almost 11 year’s ago now, I found my doctor in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada that fall and he resurface both hip’s on April 4 and April 13/2007 with Birminham joint’s.
Dr. Burnell had only done 30 some resurfacing’s at that time but I took the chance and they have worked out great. I still farm some, walk a few mile’s everyday with my dog.
