I had my left hip resurfaced in 2002 by Dr Thomas Gross in SC. I was part of the clinical trials to bring resurfacing to the US.

The implant is still intact and aligned. No movement or weight restrictions. I worked airfreight, at times I had to unloaded 53′ semi’s with 2000lb pallets with a manual pallet jack. In 2021, I processed 7 cords of maple at a cabin my wife and I built. I’ve ridden several times to Sturgis, SD from Illinois.

For me my hip resurfacing has worked out very well. My C2K is m/m with a 52mm ball. I will be needing a right hip replacement and age is against me (70). Hoping I qualify for the resurfacing and that the new device works as well.
