Michael Montgomery Ironman 6 months post op BHR
I finished Ironman 6 months after getting my BHR At 32 I got the crushing news that my left hip had advanced AVN. I had wrestled from the age of 13 until I was 28 including coaching a high school team. I moved to triathlon to find something new, did several Half Iron distances as well as Ironman Arizona in April 2006 with hip pain. After my last Ironman I ran a stand alone 1:50 |

Insurance Appeals 101
For those of you who have not had experience with insurance
appeals, here’s a couple of tips I learned helping patient families
with insurance appeals:
(1)First and foremost, read your policy – the full document
with all
of the legalese, not just the coverage pages. Your employer
should
have a copy of the policy or coverage book or you can
usually get it

Hip Resurfacing Article by Dr. Balasubramanian

Dwight Pargee March 22, 2009 My saga So I’m sitting here with an iv in my arm, getting my daily dose of antibiotics and reflecting back over the last two years, thought I’d share my story. Dr. De Smet begins uncemented hip resurfacing with the Wright C+ hip resurfacing device
May 25, 2010
Dear Pat,
I indeed will start with the C plus uncemented.
I will cautiously start this and study this together with the University of Lille France.
Results only can be accepted if they are longer then 3-4 years. Nobody is there yet!! So again we have to be very cautious with results at this moment.

Don’s bilateral hip resurfacing 2007
I had my hips resurfaced (Birmingham) a month apart in 2007 when I was 62 due to restrictive hip movement. Two years after surgery I was back sprinting – running the 400 m and 800 m (and 200 m but only if I am in the outside lane). I was (and still am) the Queensland |
