Yesterday I accompanied by 78 year old dad on his stock 20 mile bike ride. Hes fit and I can never catch him in the last mile when he kicks. Yesterday for the first time, I did keep with him!

Well there are 3 of us from North America that have now become Surface Hippies. Hipmon [British Columbia], Jason [Colorado], and myself from [Ontario, Canada]. You should ask your hip resurfacing doctor as many of the questions that seem appropriate for your situation. Your doctor should be patient, willing to talk about what to expect and answer your questions. Having all your questions answered will give you peace of mind and will make your surgery much less stressful.

20 years ago this week, I received my pair of Chromium Cobalt BHR metal hip implants from Dr. Koen de Smet in Ghent, Belgium.
I am so lucky, confident and inspired about my hips that I trained at Ten Kicks gym this week where my daughter fights and coaches…and celebrated my hips with 10 kicks on the heavy bag.

Just got right hip resurfaced by Dr Antoniou in Montreal about 18 hours ago. Back at the hotel. I tried walking around the room with no crutches/walker, backwards, forwards, sidesteps. SHort steps but unassisted. I told this to the nurse who came by to bring me a walker, she was worried and said it’s too early to be walking without assistance.
